Hi! 👋

My name is Ilya and I am a software developer from Riga🇱🇻 currently based in Tallinn🇪🇪 and working at VOOL⚡️.

Over the last 13 years, I’ve been doing mobile software development starting with Maemo and Meego, then Android, and eventually iOS.
These days I spend most of my time delivering mobile solutions with Flutter, while also helping my teams scale development by investing in codebase architecture and automating CI/CD process.

I have a Cardigan Corgi and every day I’m doing my best to, as they say, be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.
Also, in my spare time, I am a film buff, a hockey fan (Go Devils!) and an ardent admirer of everything food-related.
I love cooking and after finishing high school I almost committed to the idea of going to the culinary arts school to become a chef. I chose software development, however, because programming was an interest of mine for as long as I can remember, but sometimes I still wonder what could have been…
